Three ways to work with a senior UX consulting practice.

From a one-week written diagnostic to a six-week rebuild to an ongoing strategic partnership. Every engagement is delivered by the same senior consultant, at every stage.

The engagement ladder

Most design studios sell packages. Consulting practices sell engagements. The distinction matters: an engagement is defined by the shape of the work, not by the number of deliverables in a bullet list. Below are three engagement shapes — each designed for a different moment in the life of a practice's digital presence.

  • One week · written diagnostic

    The Practice Audit

    from $1,500

    • Positioning, conversion, accessibility, and competitive framing
    • Delivered as a working document you own
    • Optional 30-minute live readout (+$250)
    • Audit fee credits toward a Build within 90 days

  • Six to ten weeks · full rebuild

    The Brand & Site Build

    from $5,500

    • Strategy, brand system, and website
    • One senior consultant, start to finish
    • Weekly working rhythm
    • Launch document you keep

  • Month-to-month · post-launch strategic care

    The Care Plan

    from $250/month

    • Technical health monitoring
    • Quarterly reviews
    • Small design and content evolutions
    • Cancel anytime — not a lock-in maintenance contract

A ladder, not a menu.

The engagements are designed to stack. An Audit becomes a Build. A Build launches into a Care Plan. Each tier lowers the friction of the next — the credit-to-Build mechanic on the Audit, the discounted first-three-months on the Care Plan at Build kickoff, the same senior consultant carrying the working relationship forward across every phase.

Practices don't have to buy the whole ladder to work together. An Audit is a complete engagement in itself. A Build stands alone. But when practices do continue up the ladder, the compounding effect is real — because none of the discovery, positioning work, or design decisions has to be re-explained to a new consultant.

Not sure which fits?

If you're not certain which engagement is right for your practice, the Practice Audit is almost always the right entry point. It's the lowest commitment, produces a written diagnostic you can act on immediately, and — if a rebuild is warranted — credits fully toward the Build fee. Alternatively, a thirty-minute discovery call is free and no-pressure.

Every engagement, one thesis.

Whether the engagement lasts a week or a year, the thesis is constant: the rigor of an enterprise design team, delivered by one consultant, for practices that shouldn't have to buy a national agency to get it.
